Finally got a LOT of pictures off my camera. I need to keep up with this instead of waiting so long in between uploading these pics!! Here are a few of my latest knitting adventures...

This is a blanket my daughter, Carrie, made for someone. I made the fish and the turtle and then sewed all the animals on for her. It turned out really cute!!

A shawl for my friend's mother for Mother's Day. She lives in Dallas. She's been like a second mom to me for over 50 years!!! A very special lady!

Dropped stitch scarf! What fun to make! I call them Magic Scarves because of the construction! The silver was for a friend of Mom's and the red one is for Mom for Mother's Day. Luckily, she doesn't read my blog!

This little baby set was for a co-worker of Kevin's. It turned out so cute! And worked up really fast.

For the past three years, me and my daughter have been making scarves for Special Olympics. These are the scarves I made this year and sent to Rhode Island. What a fun project. And a great excuse to buy yarn!

Whew! Been busy doing this and that. Still knitting though. About to finish 3 of 10 Christmas stockings I was contracted to make. Still have to add embellishments - beads, sequins, bells, etc., but this is the shell. They are a duplicate of stockings her mother made 50 years ago. This is two of the designs she wants for the stockings this year. More to come next year.

New Adventure

So I have looked at all these cute little stitch markers in the LYS and online, and I just don't want to pay that much for them. And I tell myself  "You can do that"!! Hence my new line of stitch markers. Took these pics with my dumb Blackberry and it has a horrible camera! Better pics to follow soon.

Yarnstorming

Some fingerless mitts for the upcoming craft show! I've been trying to go thru my stash and use it up instead of buying more and more. It's really hard to go on a yarn diet. Then there is one of  my beaded fingerless mitts, a stash scarf using some novelty yarn (which I have too much of), and, of course, another pair of socks!

Test Knitting

Here's a hat I test knitted for someone. Love this yarn!!

Sock Socks and More Socks

The results of some sock fever I had a while back. Can never knit enough socks!!!

Special Olympics Project

My daughter, mother-in-law and I have been knitting scarves for Special Olympics again this year. Here are a couple that are done so far.

Catching Up

Wow! It's been way too long since I've been on here to post. I have been busy knitting and being grandma. Here are a few things I have been working on.

Getting Ready for Christmas

Here's one of the things I'm working on for Christmas this year. Had this yarn since Spring and haven't been able to decide what to make of all of it. So this seemed to really fit the bill.

My How Time Flies

Here is the finished Santa Hat for Rachael. She LOVES pink, and cupcakes...  hence the pink and brown! It's kind of the Cupcake/Santa Hat Combo!! And the girls were so enthusiastic about the pom pom maker, they wanted me to take a picture of those in progress as well. So here it is...  with Rachael modeling it at the end.

The Grandnuggets

Had the little ones the other night for a couple hours. They always want to go outside and play in the yard, climb the tree and just run run run. Connor, the baby, has followed suit and goes to the door and bangs on it now to go out. Big Brother, Pacey, was helping him out just a wee bit too much though. The bottom one is Pacey and Mary playing a duet on the piano. Pacey is REALLY getting into his music.

These are Kevin's kiddos - Mary, Ethan, Pacey and baby Connor

Busy as a Bee...

Been sooooo busy. The Craft Show keeps me dedicated to just that for the week before. But it's all over now and was a huge success. It gets better every time! And I really love coordinating them. Sold all 5 of my fingerless mitts! Wow! If only I'd known I'd have made more.

But now, it's back to knitting knitting knitting!!! Dug out some photos of some past projects. Crazy me, forgot to photograph the fingerless mitts. :( Oh well. Here are some photos of past, present and future!!

That's little Pacey (almost 2) with a hat I whipped up from some VERRRRRY old yarn. He liked it!  And then a scarf I made from some beautiful and soft Marble Chunky.

These are 2 sets of dishcloths I made for Carrie's girls to give their teachers at the end of the last school year. Took a beaded knitting class and made the beaded scarf on the right. It turned out beautifully. Gave it to my great friend Lori for her birthday.

This was my first attempt at socks. I love this yarn. The colors are really bright and vivid. They hooked me.

Made one of the famous Grrlfriend Market Bags finally. What fun. Another addiction I see. This was made out of the special Breast Cancer cotton they come out with once a year. Have several more of these lined up.

Here comes Santa Claus...

Christmas is just around the corner. Time to get in the spirit!! So I'm starting off with a Santa Hat for a baby or two at church and most certainly for a few of the grandkids. Can't wait to see it on little baby Clay!

Sleepover Guest

We have our little Conner man with us today, tonight, and half of tomorrow. He is 11 months old tomorrow. He's getting the one-on-one royal treatment from MiMi and Papa being here all by himself while Mommy and Daddy are in Tulsa. He ate a HUGE lunch and went right down for his nappy. Such a good baby. Let's see how much we can get him spoiled by tomorrow!!!

Charity Knitting

And as if I didn't have enough projects going, I took on a wee little charity knitting project. This will be a helmet liner for our troops. It will be a quick knit. I only wish I had time to do more of these before they ship them off this year. I will work on this during the next year so I'll have a few done up by this time next year.

It's coming along...   almost done!!
